There are plenty of marketing books out there. So what makes this one stand out? Let's start with what this book is not. It's not one of those marketing text books that tries to blow you away with big marketing terms and concepts. There are enough of those out there, and honestly, most of them wouldn't work in the real world.

What this book is to me... is a little lighthouse. A pick-me-up guide to what marketing is really all about. Why marketing is so important, and if you are a marketing practitioner, why you fall in love with your job in the first place. It's a wonderful guide that will point you back into the right direction - your customer!

I haven't finished it, on pg 30. But there is a HUGE glaring mistake in the Introduction. It's not that IT'S MISSING two pages... but THE TWO PAGES in the intro (1st and last page) are from some different book!

Other than that... it's a delight. I had to go to my university library and pic the missing two pages from the older edition.
