THANK YOU for the opportunity to preview your new book Master The Day. I'm a big reader. I have a library of self improvement books written by some pretty incredible authors. Maybe I'm still on a reading high (although I highly doubt it) but I have to say that your book has transformed my life more than any other book I've read on self improvement. I would trade the stacks of books I have for YOUR book.

THIS is a list of my favorite books...in order. * Mans search for meaning by Victor Frankl. * The 4-hour work-week by Tim Ferriss. * Master The Day by Alex Heyne * The 7 habits of highly effective people by Stephen Covey. * The total money makeover by Dave Ramsey. * Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins.

I've read the classics, The Magic of Thinking Big, Think and Grow Rich, How to win Friends and Influence people. I've read books from current, popular authors like Seth Godin and Gary Vaynerchuck. Your book WORKS. It's not just a health book. It's a HOW TO LIVE A LIFE YOU LOVE book!

This book has changed all the rules. If you're currently reading a book about weight loss or a book about goal setting...PUT IT DOWN and read this book! I recently paid $250 for a goal setting workshop that included one phone call a week with the presenter. I would gladly pay $250 for this book over the course.

More than just a Weight Loss Guide!

I was SO impressed by this book and found it to be tremendously useful—grateful to have had a chance to preview it.

I’m a complete self-help junkie and I have read MANY, MANY health, weight loss, mental wellness, nutrition and fitness books. With that said, I’ve seen many online websites that focus on weight loss and fitness, have purchased their ebooks and have been sorely disappointed. Honestly, I was actually expecting to be disappointed by this book as well. (I had just found Heyne’s blog last month and was not a regular reader. ) Most books written by bloggers that I have read werre repetitive (maybe to make the book seem more substantial?) and the information is not new to me. The latter point might be a bit unfair to the writer as the target audience is probably not someone who’s spent time educating herself on nutrition and wellness. This was not true for Master the Day. It is clear and concise with just the right amount of explanation.

Master the Day differs from all the other books I’ve read before and addresses weight loss from a completely different, refreshing point of view. You know, I think it’s wonderful if one can follow the Paleo diet or Whole30 or BeyoncĂ©’s vegan diet for 33 days or whatever and no doubt, there are various health benefits to those diets BUT, this book speak to the many of us who have a hard time STAYING on those diets. Heyne addresses the underlying mental and psychological blocks and how to overcome them. I think it’s more effective to reflect upon why you have, say, a sugar craving at 3 PM than simply advising people to take a walk, distract yourself, drink an herbal tea, etc. Those things may work but when another issue arises, you might not know how to handle that.

Finally, I found that your book went beyond weight loss. It made me reexamine other aspects of my life that I’m not satisfied with and focus on goals for improvement. Heyne shares his personal experience and struggles (and how he overcame them) which I found very helpful and inspiring. It made me, as a reader, feel like I’m not alone in my problems. After reading Master the day, I was filled with the sense that it’s never too late to fulfill your dreams. What I thought would be another futile weight loss book ended up being a useful experience in refocusing on not only my fitness goals but life goals in general!

The Missing Link Between Health Advice and How to Actually Implement It

Over the past several years I've been bouncing between losing weight on one diet or another and then gaining the weight back after I couldn't maintain it. I stumbled upon Alex's website while I was searching yet again for the diet that would "cure" me once and for all. The information I found there was different from any diet books I've read (and I've read A LOT). Intrigued by his practical advice, I eagerly signed up to receive an early copy of his book and devoured it.

This book has been a total game-changer for me. I can't tell you how many 'aha!' moments I had while reading it, how many times I was nodding my head in total agreement, and how many times I wished I'd had this book a decade ago to save me from years of the diet roller coaster. In fact, I read it hoping for diet advice and not only did I find the key to my weight loss success, but I unexpectedly also found the key to success in any area of life...that's quite a bonus!

This book offers hope to those who are exhausted from failing over and over at anything. Most of us know several changes we should make in order to improve our health or our life but we can't seem to DO them consistently. The information here is extremely practical, logical, do-able, and - unfortunately - not common. And to top it off, Alex's writing style is relaxed, funny, and enjoyable to read.

Since reading this book, I started implementing several of the strategies and it's made a huge difference in my personal outlook. I'm working on the last ten pounds, so I (now) understand that it's going to take some time for the scale to move, but I'm confident that it will and already feel empowered and hopeful rather than confused and incompetent. I finally feel like I'm in control of my success. This book will be the first I recommend to anyone having trouble reaching their goals.
